Get Involved with the MACC

We are always looking for individuals to help us carry out our mission through participation in our committees, leading consult groups, and on our board for the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. If you are interested in getting involved in a way not mentioned here, please contact the board as we are always open to new ideas.

Committee Membership

Vision Committee:

This committee develops the ever-expanding vision of the organization. This committee focuses on the benefits provided to members; increasing outreach to Christian pastors, students, and colleagues; increasing the collaboration of the MACC with other organizations; and developing our graduate mentoring program. This committee collaborates with the other committees in order to fulfill our mission to provide Christian mental health professionals with biblically relevant training, connection and support, to encourage unity and collaboration, and develop a kingdom mindset to positively impact our industry for God’s glory.

Commitment: You must be an active member of the MACC to participate on a committee. Meetings occur on a monthly basis. Committee members are expected to attend as often as possible. If you have a passion for big picture thinking, developing the next generation of Counselors, or Creating broader connections within the Christian community please contact the chair!

Networking & Marketing Committee:

This committee coordinates and hosts Coffee networking events and other special events as determined by the committee to increase opportunities for connection between MACC members. This committee also manages social media marketing of MACC events including the conference. This committee strives to increase general public knowledge of the association and benefits of membership..

Commitment: You must be an active member of the MACC to participate on a committee. Coffee networking events occur 6 times per year, and committee members are expected to attend at least 2 coffee events. The Networking & Marketing committee meets for planning every other month at a local coffee shop— how appropriate, right?!

Equipping Committee:

This committee plans and executes professional development events and the annual conference. The committee determines the topics of trainings, selects speakers, and plans all of the minor details to ensure that events are a success.
A lot of hard work goes into Equipping those in the healing profession and we need you and your gifts!

Commitment: You must be an active member of the MACC to participate on a committee. Meetings occur on a monthly basis. Committee members are expected to attend as often as possible. If you have a passion for event planning, learning and teaching other professionals, or just having fun making these events happen we would love your help!

Membership Committee:

This committee focuses on ministering to the membership of the MACC. The committee is responsible for fielding membership questions, overseeing outside content submissions for the website and to the MACC calendar. This committee also connects with members through email newsletters and highlights the member of the month.
